Cuplock component weights matter for three reasons: material is bought and sold by the kilogram, freight is charged by weight, and load design depends on the self-weight of the scaffold. This chart gives approximate weights for the common cuplock components so you can estimate a purchase budget, plan transport and check load calculations.
Cuplock Standards (Verticals)

Load Capacity
A correctly braced cuplock standard on a firm, level base carries a safe working load of roughly 1.5 tonnes, depending on lift height, bracing and the eccentricity of the load. This is why cuplock is used for heavy slab shoring where individual props would not be enough. Always follow the supplier's design and IS 3696 / EN 12810–12811 for the actual project.
